Ad Tech Junkies,
We have two great sessions planned for Thursday August 23rd – in what will be our penultimate meetup of the year!
A huge thanks to our sponsor and host Adslot. For those of you that don’t know, Adslot is a publicly listed company on the Australian Stock Exchange With offices in New York, London, Shanghai, Munich, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. It services brands, agencies, and publishers globally.
We rely on supporters like Adslot to host so a big shout out and thanks!
First up we have managing director APAC Salesforce for data and audiences Jo Gaines. Well-known Gaines, who is also VP APAC at Salesforce Women’s Network, will discuss why equality will shape a stronger ad tech industry. Diversity is increasingly making its way onto company radars and it’s been a long time coming. Gaines shares her knowledge in this area and cites examples of how and what we could all be doing better as an industry.
Next we’ll hear from ex-Googlers turned ad tech startup founders Tobin Page and Colm Dolan. The duo launched their Sydney-based publisher-focused business Publift in 2015 and have gone from a team of two in Bondi to a growing workforce in Surry Hills. With Forbes citing that 90% of startups fail, Publift is bucking the trend having snared clients such as Bauer, Autotrader, Reader’s Digest, Mamamia and more.
We get the pair talking candidly about their journey, from major highs to extreme lows and steep learning curves. Expect to come away with a few harsh realities and some honest ‘must dos’, including three key takeaways for those thinking about jumping into their own ad tech startup.
Come armed with questions as there’s a Q&A at the end of each session.
We’ve had some great meetups this year and your support means a lot. The sole purpose of these meetups is to educate, inspire and network with like-minded people so arrive on time and make the most of the event.
