Ad Tech Junkies!
The wait is over and we can reveal next week’s speakers and hot topics.

A reminder that Outbrain will be hosting the event at the WeWork space – only this time at the 383 George Street office.

As usual, drinks and nibbles will be on hand giving you fuel for learning and mingling.

The event kicks off at 6pm sharp so arrive promptly.

Our first speaker of the night will be chief strategy officer at VMLY&R AU-NZ and ABC Gruen Panellist, Alison Tilling.
Tilling, who has worked at Wieden+Kennedy, TBWA and hot shop BMF, believes two great things from clashes. As a result, “What happens when ad tech and creativity collide?” is the session title that Tilling will delve into. While it can feel like the two worlds are opposite, they can collide to great effect.
Ensuring space for both is key, and even in more ‘day to day’ examples it’s the combination and questions each asks of the other that is truly powerful. Beyond just collaboration it’s in the clash with positive intent, that things progress.

Next up we have regional director APAC at global independent ad server Flashtalking, Georgia Brammer.
Brammer, who has worked at Fairfax and Australian Associated Press, will discuss “The Future of Ad Serving”.
The advertiser side ad server came about originally for two key purposes: To provide an objective third-party audit of publisher delivery and source of truth for billing; and to provide a means to harmonize campaign data for attribution across display, search and other channels.
Despite the demand by advertisers for a digital ecosystem that is open and transparent, there has been a noticeable shift by big players to build walls in order to shift ad dollars into their greenery. With Google’s data lockdown and Sizmek’s purchase out of bankruptcy, advertisers and agencies are faced with a decision to either reduce their reliance on these ecosystems or to accept the lack of transparency and interoperability that comes with closed stack offerings.
What does this mean going forward for today’s sophisticated advertisers? Brammer will discuss.
